In November 2022, WildAid, an organization focused on reducing global consumption of wildlife products and supporting conservation efforts, empowered twenty-five (25) households in Epe, Lagos State. The beneficiaries, who were the wives of hunters and bush meat retailers, received a total of 400 Noiler birds. Fifteen (15) households were given twenty (20) ready-to-eat/sell adult Noiler birds each, while ten (10) households received ten (10) brooded birds each. Additionally, each beneficiary received a bag of feed and a sachet of divertamin. The feedback received from this empowerment program highlighted the customers’ appreciation for the taste of Noiler birds.
