About Us

Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Ltd. (AFSH) is a leading animal protein producer in Nigeria with a strong commitment to improving nutrition and empowering women. We are the leading producer of Day-Old Chicks (DOCs) in Nigeria, with one in five eggs produced in Nigeria coming from our gene pool. We produce DOCs of broiler, layer, and Noiler, as well as point of lay pullets.

AFSH is also the parent company of natnudO Foods, a leading ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook animal protein brand in Nigeria. natnudO Foods offers a wide range of high-quality products, including chicken, beef, fish, and eggs.

As well as helping to meet the growing demand for animal protein products in Nigeria, we are also playing a role in the country’s economic development through job creation.

Noiler

Noiler is a dual-purpose (for both eggs and meat) breed of chicken developed by AFSH in Nigeria. Noiler was developed over several years through a pedigree breeding and selection program, and the first commercial stock was launched to the market in 2014. Noiler, the first dual-purpose bird in Africa, is a registered trademark of AFSH.
Noiler is a low-cost rearing bird that thrives on backyard scavenging and low-cost feeding and maintenance. It has a similar taste to the indigenous chicken breeds in Africa, but it has yields that are at least 3 times higher.

Noiler farming is targeted at women who are often responsible for small-scale poultry farming in Africa. Processed feed is 65% of the cost of production in commercial poultry farming, but Noiler thrives on farm, kitchen waste and scavenging, thus making it suitable for sustainable rural poultry farming for women with limited resources.

Women who make up half of the population, are more likely to invest in their children’s education and health when empowered, which has a positive impact on the next generation

Our Vision

Our vision is to empower 2.5 million small holder households across Africa by 2025 with Noiler, the sustainable solution to protein malnutrition. With its low cost, high yield, and suitability for backyard farming, Noiler can revolutionize food security and nutrition on the continent.

  • Profitable: Noiler birds can be a profitable investment for farmers, which helps to improve rural livelihoods.

Noiler Yields

Female Noiler Bird: lays 120 – 150 eggs per cycle of 75 weeks. (Note that indigenous African Breeds lay 30 – 40 eggs per cycle)

Male Noiler Bird: weighs 2.5 – 3.5 Kg by 20 weeks (Note that indigenous African Breeds weigh 1.5Kg by 40 weeks)

Noiler, an African innovation, addresses malnutrition and gender inequality on the continent by providing a sustainable source of protein and income for families.
