In 2022, the Feminist Coalition (FemCo), a group of young Nigerian feminists advocating for equality for women, partnered with Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Ltd. to empower ten (10) single mothers and widows in Ikorodu, Lagos State. The beneficiaries received twenty (20) brooded Noiler birds, 1 bag of grower feed, 1 sachet of divertamin, and a rearing cage each. After a successful rearing cycle, the beneficiaries were able to obtain more Noiler birds from the proceeds of selling eggs and adult birds. Currently, 80% of the women are raising Noiler birds of varying ages in their backyards.
