Reigniting Noiler Farming in Rural Communities: A Journey of Education and Empowerment

Rural Sensitization

In the heart of rural communities across our nation, a dedicated team led by Mr. Korede Afolabi, Head of the Noiler Business Unit, has embarked on a mission of enlightenment and empowerment. Throughout May and continuing into June and July, Mr. Afolabi and his team of Farmer Satisfaction Representatives have been traversing the country on a special rural sensitization campaign. Their mission: to reignite the focus on Noiler farming in rural communities by introducing more women in rural communities to Noiler farming; to highlight Noiler as a reliable protein source, particularly beneficial for children under the age of 5, and to showcase the transformative potential of Noiler farming as a catalyst for economic empowerment.

Noiler, renowned as a dual-purpose breed (for both eggs and meat) of chicken, holds the promise of sustenance and prosperity for rural communities. The rural sensitization program is a critical step in realizing this vision by educating rural communities about the myriad benefits of starting their own Noiler farms, whether as smallholder farmers or as mother units. Through a multifaceted approach encompassing rural film screenings, door-to-door family visits, health centre engagements, community gatherings, and market outreach, the Noiler team has reached far and wide. Their aim is simple yet profound: to provide communities with the information they need to make informed decisions about starting Noiler farms.

Key among the messages emphasized during these sensitization activities is the importance of protein nutrition, especially for children under the age of 5, and the significant role Noiler farming can play as an income generator for entire families. By instilling this knowledge, the team empowers individuals to take charge of their economic well-being while enhancing dietary diversity. The impact of Noiler’s rural sensitization activities extends far beyond mere awareness. By fostering a deeper understanding of Noiler farming, the rural populace gains access to a sustainable source of income and nutrition. Smallholder farmers are empowered to become self-reliant entrepreneurs, while communities benefit from increased access to fresh, nutritious Noiler eggs and meat.

Indeed, the Noiler rural sensitization campaign is more than just a series of outreach activities; it is a catalyst for change, ushering in a future where rural communities thrive, families prosper, and nutrition is no longer a luxury but a fundamental right.  Noiler rural sensitization campaign marches onward, let us continue to champion the cause of rural empowerment and sow the seeds of prosperity together.
