The Noiler Model is a successful model for sustainable and profitable poultry farming. It is a partnership between Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Ltd. (AFSH) Mother Units (MUs) and Small Holder Farmers (SHFs).
MUs are independent poultry farmers with a minimum capacity of 300 birds that brood, feed, and vaccinate from Day Old Chicks to 5 weeks before selling to SHFs. SHFs procure 5 week-old birds from MUs equally split into male and female. By 16 weeks the SHFs can start selling and consuming the male birds and start selling and consuming eggs from the female birds by 20-22 weeks.
The Noiler Model has the potential to make a significant impact on the lives of people in rural Africa. It is a sustainable, profitable, and scalable model that can help to improve nutrition, boost rural economies, and empower women in rural communities across Africa. To date, we have reached over 6,500 Mother Units and over 1,300,000 Small Holder Farmer households, and over 64% of our MUs and SHFs are women. We have a network of MUs and SHFs across the 36 states and the FCT in Nigeria. To date, we have also introduced Noiler to some West African countries including Ghana, Togo, Burkina Faso, Benin Republic, Cote d’Ivoire, The Gambia, and Sierra Leone.
