On February 28, 2025, Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited reached a major milestone with the commissioning of its new Noiler Hatchery in Awe, Oyo State. This cutting-edge facility, designed to produce over 2.5 million Day-Old Chicks (DOCs) monthly, represents a significant leap forward in the company’s mission to support food security and expand access to affordable protein across Nigeria.
The Noiler bird, developed as a dual-purpose breed for both meat and egg production, is ideal for smallholder farmers, rural households, and entrepreneurs seeking a sustainable and profitable poultry solution. With the hatchery’s increased production capacity, more Nigerians will now be able to access high-quality Noilers, contributing to improved nutrition, income generation, and economic resilience.
During the commissioning ceremony, Dr. Anand Burra, Managing Director of Amo Farm, emphasized the strategic importance of the new hatchery:
“This expansion will help increase protein consumption by ensuring more households have access to affordable, nutritious Noiler chickens. It’s a crucial step toward meeting growing demand while maintaining our reputation for quality.”
Also speaking at the event, Dr. Ayoola Oduntan, Group Managing Director of Amo Farm, reinforced the company’s commitment to excellence:
“Every chick leaving this hatchery must reflect the high standards Amo Farm is known for. This facility is not just about numbers—it’s about impact: more Noilers mean more eggs, more meat, and healthier families across Nigeria.”
A key highlight of the event was the official ribbon-cutting ceremony performed by Dr. Ayoola Oduntan, signaling the formal start of operations. Attendees were given a guided tour of the facility, showcasing its advanced systems for chick health, biosecurity, and production efficiency.
The commissioning was attended by senior company officials including Dr. Sunil (General Manager), Mr. Emmanuel Oloruntoba (Director of Supply Chain), Mr. Olusegun Akande (Head of Internal Audit), and Mr. Victor Alabi (HR Business Partner), alongside other team members and stakeholders who gathered to celebrate this important achievement.
With this expansion, Amo Farm is setting a new standard in Nigeria’s poultry industry, creating more opportunities for farmers, ensuring better protein access for families, and reinforcing its position as a trusted leader in agricultural innovation.
As operations begin at the new hatchery, Amo Farm remains committed to empowering communities through sustainable poultry farming, innovative practices, and the continued success of the Noiler bird as a game-changing solution for food security and economic empowerment.
